Description Of Offense : Burglary, Vandalism Under $1000, Theft Under $1000
On 8/12/17 at approximately 0410, Officer A was dispatched to 3208 Memorial Boulevard in reference to an alarm.
Upon my arrival Officer A and Officer B made an exterior sweep of the business and all door and windows were secure.
The owner of the shop wanted the officers to complete a walk through of the business. The owner noticed that money was missing from a drawer in the back office. Upon watching surveillance footage a subject described as a black male with a dark colored hoodie and light colored pants can be seen entering the business via the front door.
The subject had a key and he was able to lock the door back as he exited. The subject also kicked in the back office door and damaged the lock. The owner advised they knew the subject and he is possibly the boyfriend of an employee who lives directly behind the business.
Detectives were notified and responded to the scene.
