Police Report : Employee wallets stolen from local restaurant

On 5/10/2018 at 1658 hours, Officer A was dispatched to 206 W Northfield Blvd (Carmen’s Taqueria) in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with two victims. The victims stated that both of their wallets were stolen from behind the restaurant counter. One of the victims stated her black wallet had $21.00 , a Bank of America debit card, TN driver’s license and TN Care card in it.

The other victim stated her brown wallet had $160.00, a Bank of America debit card, TN driver’s license and a food stamps card. A witness on scene stated she saw two white females enter the restaurant and inquire about applications. The witness then stated as she returned from the back of the restaurant she saw one of the females behind the counter reaching where the wallets were. She then stated the females quickly exited the restaurant. The witness also advised she was able to take a photo of the vehicle with a license plate of [OMITTED].
