Police Report : Armed Robbery & Shooting In Murfreesboro Neighborhood


Description Of Offense : Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault , Theft Under $1000

On 7/22/17 at 2317 hours, Officer A responded to a residence on Benley Street in reference to an armed robbery and shooting.

Upon arrival the officer made contact with the male Victim A who spoke to the officer with help from a female translator.  Victim A stated that while he was standing in the front yard, he was approached by two unidentified black males, one of which then demanded his wallet at gunpoint.

Victim A stated that one of the black males then fired a shot which struck him in the left leg. Victim A then stated that the two black males then fled on foot.

Officer A made contact with the second victim, referred to here as Victim B, who stated that he was approached by an unidentified black male while sitting in his truck that was parked in his front yard. He stated that the black male demanded his wallet and money at gunpoint. Victim B complied and gave the black male his Bank Of America debit card and $200.00 cash. Victim B then stated that the black male and another unidentified black male that stayed behind the truck then fled on foot on Benley Street.

Suspects were described as two black males tall, slim build, wearing white tank tops and black jeans.

Victim A described the weapon as a revolver however a spent .45 caliber shell casing was found at the scene. Two detectives arrived and processed the scene. Victim A was transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford by Rutherford County E.M.S. for treatment.
