
One person was killed in a crash on Interstate 24 Friday morning, WSMV reports.
Authorities responded to the incident in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 78 in Murfreesboro around 5:20am. According to TDOT, the crash involved a passenger vehicle and an attenuator vehicle in a work zone. A TDOT contractor was cleaning drains along the inside shoulder.

All lanes reopened by 6:12 AM. Traffic had been detoured at Exit 78 (Old Fort Parkway) during the closure.
