On 6/10/2017 MPD officers responded to 2711 Windwalker Court to investigate a domestic incident in which the victim was stabbed multiple times. Officers arrived on scene and observed victim, Sade` Kelly, suffering from multiple stab wounds to her face, torso, and legs. The victim was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford and subsequently Vanderbilt University Hospital suffering from serious injuries. The Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. Through the course of that investigation, Jeremy Kelly (4/6/1983) was developed as a suspect and warrants were obtained for his arrest charging him with Attempted Second Degree Murder.
Through the investigation, it was learned that the suspect was in Aurora, IL. With the assistance of the Chicago based FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, Mr. Kelly was taken into custody without incident at 1:40 p.m. today. He is being held in Illinois pending the extradition process.
