O’Charleys, located at 1006 Memorial Blvd in Murfreesboro, is set to close in a few days. Sunday, March 24, is their last day of business.

“Our restaurant at 1006 Memorial Boulevard in Murfreesboro will close after business on March 24. As a longtime part of this community, we appreciate our guests and the many friends we made over the years,” said O’Charley’s Senior Director of Marketing Jeff Hingher.

They will keep regular business hours throughout the week and weekend:
Wednesday & Thursday 11am – 10pm; Friday & Saturday 11am – 11pm and Sunday 10am – 10pm.

The Memorial Blvd location is one of several Middle Tennessee O’Charley’s restaurants to close recently. In November 2018, O’Charley’s in Brentwood and Spring Hill closed. And a Hendersonville O’Charley’s closed in January 2019, according to Hendersonville Standard.

O’Charley’s also has locations at 2450 Old Fort Pkwy in Murfreesboro and 820 Expo Drive in Smyrna.

O’Charley’s corporate office is based in Nashville. The first location opened in 1971 by Charley Watkins across from Vanderbilt University. Watkins featured a menu that showcased some of his wife’s popular recipes. According to the website, there are over 200 locations in 17 states. O’Charley’s has supported Second Harvest Food Bank and created a program called Hometown Heroes where they recognize local veterans and active-duty service members.

  1. Well, if it is anything like my past experiences, the food and management sucked. They went down hill in a really bad way.

  2. One of the servers there–he serves us every week; and he is very good–told us that they pay $20,000 per month rent, and it was just a good business deal for them to take the 1.5 million dollars offered upfront, instead.

Note: He also said that the employees there are offered either one, two, or three weeks’ severance pay–depending upon how long they have been employed there–or work at another O’Charley’s. But if they choose the former option, they will be blackballed from ever working at another O’Charley’s restaurant, anywhere.
