Wilmoth Killebrew Payne, age 83, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Alvin Lawrence and Wilmoth Pearl Killebrew. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Newton Payne, III; daughter, Sandy Gail Sims; and several sibilings.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Brock and her husband Kirk, Andrea Shade and her husband Rick; grandchildren, Brandon Brock and his wife Amber, Becky Baxter and husband Chris, Lindsey McKay and husband Zack, Lincoln Shade, Logan Shade, Jonathan Sims and wife Brooklyn, Justin Sims, Sara Harper and husband Cole, Josh Bowers, Ethan Bowers; 11 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; sister, Annette Lee; son in law, Kenneth Sims and wife Maggie; and much loved nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Payne spent her free time playing board games, reading, and studying her bible. When it was warm out taking a dip in the pool was commonly requested. Her favorite thing of all though was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a generous, loving woman, and will be missed by everyone who got the chance to meet her.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to North Boulevard Church of Christ West Campus Building fund.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, November 16th from 4:00-7:00 PM and again on Sunday, November 17th from 1:00-2:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM following Sunday’s visitation also at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
