On Friday March 29th, 2019 Walter Ronald Hayes of Smyrna, Tn finally received the relief he desired. He boarded the Yellow Submarine and took the Stairway to Heaven, being united with missed family and friends that eagerly awaited him.
Ronnie or Uncle Ronnie to many of us loved nature in every aspect, he enjoyed being in it and capturing it in photos and videos. When Ronnie was healthy he was a caretaker to many, and was always ready to help anyone he could. He spent time fishing with his brother William Robert and nephews Joey and Chris Owens, enjoying the culinary world with his best friend Steve, and teaching his God Children life and all the atoms in between. Ronnie took comfort in long car rides and endless music, he never married or had children. But was the God Father to Aaron, his sister Carrie Lynne and her children Onika, Johnnie and Wesley. He was the youngest of all 11 Children of Annie Louise Young Burnette and John Lewis Hayes.Ronnie left his brother Lewis Hayes, and two sisters Dorothy (Dot) McNeil,and Shirley Gzikowski joining his two brothers Thomas Hayes, William Robert Hayes, and five sisters Carol Styles, Eleanor (Sue) Burdette, Ann McDowell, Evelyn Ashley, and Jane Moore Ronnie has a gentle soul, and his physical presence will be greatly missed. His warm and generous nature, his selfless acts of kindness, and knowledge of everything is what drew people in to love him the most.
There is never a goodbye when the presence radiates in everything around us, the sincerity of their nature envelopes you in comfort, and the reminder is peaceful. We were all fortunate to know him and have him in our lives. May we never forget the goodness and beauty in life that he cherished.
