Vicky Lynn Johnson, age 62, passed away November 6, 2018. She was born in Norton, VA and has lived most of her life in Rutherford County. She lived at the McElroy Home for Disabled Children for about two years and later moved to the Stones River Center at 9 years old. As a young child she loved walking, running and playing outdoors. She also loved music, putting on make-up, and having celebrations with her room-mates in the Group Home and at the day care center. Vicky is remembered for her pleasant nature and her gentle way of acknowledging that she loved those who took care of her.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Rex and Mary Charlotte Hylton Johnson. She is survived by 7 siblings, currently living in California, Virginia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and out of the country.
A private memorial service will be held at her home on Jackson Road.
