Robert “Tony” Anthony King, age 72, passed away on May 17, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Onieda, TN and lived in Rutherford County for the past 45 years.
Tony was a long-haul truck driver. He also served in the Unites States Navy. He was a member of The Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Murfreesboro. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was kind, tender hearted, wonderful and funny neighbor and friend.
Tony was preceded by his parents, Arnold King and Geneva Walker King; son, Jennings Clayton King; daughter, Summer Dawn King-Pate; brothers, Jack J.B., Ronnie and Dennis King.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Lea King; son, Cordell Emby King; daughter, Natalie Rose (Michael) Fluty; and brothers, David (Rochelle) King, Joseph Lynn King and Sam (Lois Ann) King; sister, Anna Rose (Dick) Sexton and Doris (Dana) Hulbrit; grandchildren, Lily pate, Colton Fluty, Ryder Fluty, Adelyn Fluty and River Rose Fluty
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home. A chapel service will be on Tuesday at 5:00PM at Jennings and Ayers with Bishop Neal Tipps officiating. The burial will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in Winfield, TN at Walker Cemetery.
