Patsy Hunt, age 81, passed away on December 5, 2024, peacefully in her sleep.
She is survived by her son, Todd, Smyrna; daughter, Jennifer Fogg and her husband, John Murfreesboro; and grandchildren, Hunter Fogg (Kelsey), LaVergne and Lacee Fogg, Murfreesboro.
Patsy was born Patricia Ann Jones in Ann Arbor, Michigan while her parents were working there briefly during World War II. She grew up in Middle Tennessee and settled in Nashville by the time she was in junior high school where she made life-long friends. She attended and was active at Hume-Fogg Technical High School, where she acquired her secretarial skills and met the love of her life, George. They married in August 1962.
While at Hume Fogg, she began working at the Tennessee Education Association as a secretary. She would continue to work there, becoming more involved with each passing year as an administrative assistant in the Public Relations Department over the span of 41 years, spending her entire career with her 2nd family there.
She was an active member at Waverly Belmont, Ashwood and Tusculum Churches of Christ throughout her life. She taught Sunday School and assisted George in activities with the “Forty Niners” for almost 30 years.
Patsy loved the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas, dressing for the season as well as hosting open house at Halloween for a number of years and family Thanksgiving for many years. She never met a stranger, and it seemed everywhere she went, she knew someone.
