Mary Kathryn “Kathy” Liles, age 79, passed away August 2, 2026 at Ascension St Thomas West. She was born in Tuscaloosa, AL and a resident of Rutherford County for the past 50 years. Kathy retired as a Math teacher at Smyrna High School and MTSU. After retirement she worked as Director of Labor and Statistics for The State of Tennessee.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert M. and Elizabeth Owens Rabon; son, Robert Andrew Liles. She is survived by son, Jay (Tricia) Liles; brother, Bobby (Ouida) Rabon; sister, Ann (Jack) Bowers; and grandson, Jackson Liles.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Friday, August 7, 2026 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home.
