Martha Joyce Rich, age 85, passed away August 1, 2026 at NHC in Murfreesboro. She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Richard and Margie Crick Carlton; husband, Roy Rich; son, Bobby Lee Rich; brothers, Joe Frank Carlton and Danny Carlton. She is survived by sons, Roy M. (Cindy) Rich, Herschel (Kathy) Rich Sr., James (Linda) Rich I; brother, Robert (Ernistine) Carlton; grandchildren, Cyrena (Rocky) Bryant, Rochelle (Jacob) Whitaker, Herschel (Stephanie) Rich, Jr, Walter (Lauren) Rich, Ashley Rich, Mike Rich, Josh Bednar, Katelynn Rich, James Ray Rich II; and great-grandchildren, Dyllon (Elisha) Bryant, Hailey Bryant, Savannah Bryant, Makayla Bryant, Paisley Bryant, Amelia Bryant, Madison Rich, Easton Rich, Autumn Rich, Riley Rich, Hudson Graham, Bailey Bednar and Leon Bednar.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home.
Chapel service will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Jennings and Ayers with Bro. Dwight Smitty officiating. Burial will follow in Wards Grove Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
