Linda Marie-ange Raymond Rathbone, age 71, of 8190 Old Woodbury Pike, Readyville, TN went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 24, 2025.
She was born on October 19, 1953 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and is the only child of the late Lucien Raymond and the late Jacqueline Bougie Raymond.
She was pre-deceased by her parents; and is survived by some cousins and by her husband, Clarence Loren Rathbone.
Linda has served as a Sunday School teacher and superintendent. She also served at Logifem, a Christian women’s shelter in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In Murfreesboro, she volunteered for several ministries, including Bible Pathway Ministries, First Step Outreach Ministries, the Work House, the Crisis Pregnancy Center, Greenhouse Ministries and the Domestic Violence Program. She was later employed part-time by the Domestic Violence Program.
At Bible Pathway Ministries she translated the 365-day through-the-Bible devotional The Best of Bible Pathway into French, her native language. It is published under the title “le Sentier Biblique.” For twelve years Linda had an internet ministry to overseas pastors. For many years Linda has had her heart set on having a women’s ministry in Murfreesboro for which she made extensive preparations.
Linda’s heart full of love is proven by her role as a loving wife, as well as by her many other ministries. It is recorded of Abel that “he being dead yet speaketh” (Hebrews 11:4, the Bible). Only God and Linda can say all that Linda is now speaking, but undoubtedly included in it is “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31, the Bible). “{I}f thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10, the Bible).
Linda’s homegoing service will be at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home at 820 S. Church St, Murfreesboro, TN at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 28, 2025 with Terrance Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery, 5111 Woodbury Pike, Murfreesboro, TN. Visitation will be 5:00-07:00 PM, Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home.
