Judy Faye Ashford, age 73, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. Judy lived most of her life in Rutherford County before moving to Woodbury. Judy attended Woodbury Pentecostal Church and was employed as a daycare manager.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Newton Stem and Ozella Tabitha Lovvorn Stem; sister, Betty McCord and Martha Louise Mofield; brothers, Robert Houston Stem and Charles Stem.
Judy is survived by her husband, JC Ashford; step-sons, James Ashford and David Ashford; sisters, Barbara Romans and Mary Alice Sanders; grandchildren, Quintin Ashford, Miranda Ashford, and Jacob Ashford; and five great-grandchildren; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Judy will be from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Jennings & Ayers. The chapel service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. at Jennings & Ayers with Clayton Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Whitworth Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.
