It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Lee Griggs, cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world peacefully on September 26, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on February 24, 1951, in Nashville, Tennessee, Jerry was the beloved son of Joseph Griggs and Charlie Curtis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother William Griggs, his sister Katie Loudermilk, and his beloved sister-in-law, Juanita Griggs, who was like a mother to him.

Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Sarah Griggs, and his loving sons, Chad Griggs (Rachel) and James Parker (Jennifer). He leaves behind his cherished daughters, Brenda Enderson (Scott), Diana Adams, and Sandra Reed, along with a legacy of love carried on by his grandchildren: Garrett Griggs, Peyton Griggs, David Adams, Blake Glaskox, Jeff Enderson, and Kelsy Parker. A proud great-grandfather, Jerry’s heart was filled with joy for his great-grandchildren: Savannah Griggs, Summer Griggs, Sadie Griggs, Jessica Cairins, Chloe Glaskox, Monore Glaskox, Malachi Enderson, and Winnie Anne Enderson.

Jerry was known for his great sense of humor and a positive outlook that remained unwavering even in his final days. He had a remarkable ability to empathize with others and was always sensitive to their needs. His family and friends will remember him not only for his laughter and dry wit but also for his immense love and support that he freely gave.

A man who found joy in simple pleasures, Jerry was passionate about music, particularly playing the guitar. He loved spending time fishing, going to the beach, and watching his favorite show, “Gunsmoke.” Baseball was another of his pastimes, and he often shared moments of joy and laughter while telling jokes, bringing smiles to everyone around him.

Jerry’s life was a testament to the power of family, love, and laughter. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him. As we gather to celebrate the life of this remarkable man, we will remember the warmth of his spirit and the joy he brought to our lives.

A celebration of life will be held for Jerry on October 26, 2025 to honor the life of a loving husband, father, and friend. Visitation will be at 3:00 PM and Service at 4:00 PM at Burnette Chapel Church of Christ, 3890 Pin Hook Rd, Antioch, TN 37013.
