
James Thomas “Tommy” Climer, age 62, passed away on October 13, 2025, in Nashville. He was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County and worked as a Bail Bondsman. Tommy was the owner of James T. Climer Bonding, a Racing Legend, and a Hall of Fame Member at Fairground Speedway in Nashville.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, James Clay Climer and Joy Marie Dorris Barrett Climer.
He is survived by son, James Christopher Climer, Daughter, Brittany Joy Marie Climer; brother, Shannon Hines; sister, Lori Climer Jones; sister, Cynthia Green; and grandchildren, Victoria (Shiann) Climer, Ethan Climer, Eli Climer, Kaya Climer, Leia Climer, Mila Climer, and Riel Climer; also survived by Vicky Auda Climer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Cecily Franklin, Jennifer Oliver, Boston Oliver and Auston Oliver, and Brooklyn Ann.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home.
Chapel service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 17, 2025, at Jennings and Ayers with Joel Young officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
