OBITUARY: Jacquie Pryor McCollum

Jacquie Pryor McCollum, of Murfreesboro, died peacefully at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the age of 86.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, William “Bill” McCollum; a son, David McCollum; daughter, Pam Dunlap (Darold); grandchildren, Will and Ben McCollum, Anna Dunlap (Jesse Bawsel); sisters in law, Olivia and Barbara Pryor; nephews, Rodney Pryor (Angie) and Kip Pryor (Holly); and a host of loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie and Decatur Pryor, brothers, Raymond and Kenneth Pryor, and a sister in law, Judy Pryor.

Jacquie was born March 3, 1933 in Danville, Virginia and graduated from Ruffin High School. She married Bill McCollum in June of 1954 and his career with the Army Corps of Engineers led them to Fort Gaines, Georgia; Camden, Alabama; and Moncks Corner, South Carolina. They resettled to Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 2016.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Services will be held in North Carolina at a later date and those wishing to honor her life may make a donation in her name to a charity of their choosing. An online guestbook is available at www.woodfinchapel.com.
