Howard “Cookie” Cook, age 80, passed away on October 4, 2024, at his residence.
He was born in Huntsville, AL and has lived in Rutherford County since 1980.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ruby Golden Cook; and brothers, Norman Cook, Gary Cook; and sisters, Mell Coots, Needie Miller, Valorie “Susie” Roup.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Porterfield Cook; son, Howard Ronald “Ron” Cook Jr and wife Cynthia Cook; brother, James (Dot) Cook; and grandchildren, Coby and Hailey Cook; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Lilly, and Abigail Cook.
Visitation was from 12:00 PM-3:00 PM, on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home with Bobby Nichols officiating. Graveside service will follow at 3:30 PM in Coleman Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
