Friedrich “Fred” Hytry passed away on August 27, 2024 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital at the age of 76. Fred was born on October 28, 1947, in Langensebold, Germany and grew up in Sao Paulo Brazil with his mother, step-father, twin brother and two sisters. In 1965, Fred emigrated to the United States, settling in San Francisco. There Fred met and married his wife Lia Mariotti and had two sons. While in San Francisco, he proudly worked as a machinist in the Navy Shipyards. Upon retirement, Fred moved to Murfreesboro in 2013 to be closer to his sons and their families whom he cherished very much. Fred was multi-lingual in English, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. A man of faith, Fred was a parishioner of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed gardening.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Elisabeth Bablichsko Hytry; twin brother, Hans Hytry; and sister Elfrieda Da Sliva. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Lia Mariotti Hytry; sons Brian (Michelle) Hytry, Daniel (Angela) Hytry; grandsons Nicholas Hytry and Ben Hytry and sister Christa Orsatelli along with numerous other nephews and niece.
Visitation will be at 4:00 -7:00PM, Thursday September 5, 2024 followed by a Rosary at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, TN.
Church service will be Friday, September 6, 2024 at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 10:00AM with Father Seth Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
