OBITUARY: Fran Stoffey

Mrs. Fran Vanessa Pariser Stoffey, age 70, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025. She was born in Cleveland, OH, but spent most of her childhood and early adult life in Danville, IL. Mrs. Stoffey was a 1973 graduate of Danville High School. She attended University of Iowa before obtaining her R.N. from the Lakeview School of Nursing in Danville. Mrs. Stoffey was the valedictorian of her class and awarded the Charline Grygiel Award for High Achievement. She worked in psychiatric nursing at the VA Medical Center in Danville for 10 years. Mrs. Stoffey later became a circulating surgical nurse in Osceola, AR and Murfreesboro, TN. She completed the Master Gardener course through the University of Tennessee extension service, was a member of the Garden Lover’s Club, and completed landscape designs for several management corporations.

Mrs. Stoffey is survived by her husband of 44 years, Warren Stoffey; sister, Susan P. Mayor and her husband Richard; and a host of extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
