Eric Steven Evans, age 45, of Smyrna, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. A native of Gallipolis, OH, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Pauline Watson of Gallipolis, OH, and Walter and Judy Evans of Crown City, OH; and his mother-in-law, Janice Dillard of Smyrna.
Funeral services will be Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Ken Hampton will officiate.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Lisa Allen Evans; daughter, Kristin Evans of Smyrna; son, Justin Evans of Smyrna; mother, Dorothy Watson Hunt of Logan, OH; father, Rick Evans and his wife Sharon of Manchester, TN; sister, Karen Meade and her husband Nick of Logan, OH; brother, John Evans and his wife Samantha of Manchester, TN; brother, Larry Henry of Hermitage, TN; sister, Juanita Coffey of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Matthew Hunt and his wife Ashley of Lancaster, OH; father-in-law, Marty Dillard; sister-in-law, Lori Miller and her husband Andy of Smyrna; along with much loving extended family; his beloved pets; and his beloved work family at ICON Entertainment.
Eric attended LifePoint Church in Smyrna. He was a 1993 graduate of Smyrna High School and was the Facility Manager for ICON Entertainment. Eric was formerly employed with Guardian Security and the City of LaVergne. He was a proud fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes Football Team, the Tennessee Titans, and the Lady Vols Softball. He was a loving Christian husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Memorials in memory of Eric can be made to the Youth Group at LifePoint Church.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
