OBITUARY: Edmond Richard Arnett

Edmond Richard Arnett, born October 30, 1925 passed away September 17, 2018 at Tennessee State Veterans Home. He was born in the Blackman Community and raised in Cannon County and lived most of his life in Rutherford County. Edmond served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre on the USS Long Island.

Edmond was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Etta Enos Arnett; and brothers, Joe, Brownie and Hoyt Arnett. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Elizabeth Boyd Arnett; son, Barry Lynn Arnett of Murfreesboro; daughter, Pamela (Ken) Kay Roe of Readyville; sisters, Dorothy Matthews and Shirley Putnam, both of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Nathan (Laura) Richard Lamb, Tyler Michael Lamb; and great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Belle Lamb.

Visitation with the family will be 4:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home and Cremation.

Chapel service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Jennings and Ayers with Kirkland A. Mason and Wayne Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
