Dottie Rene’ Wrather, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Ascension St Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County and a homemaker.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, James Allen Adams and Barbara Irene Comstock Adams; and husband, Robert Dean Wrather; and son, James Allen Pitts, Jr.
She is survived by son, John C. Pitts; daughter, Deana (Readie) McCoy; brothers, James Allen Adams, Jr, William “Bill” Adams, Samuel David Adams; sister, Judith Ann Adams; and granddaughters, Erica Hope Pitts, Callie Ann Barton and Rease Marie McCoy; and grandson, Glen Robert James Pitts.
Visitation will be from 12:30 until time of 2:00 PM chapel service, Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home with Jimmy Carver officiating. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
