David-Mitchell-Watkins

David Mitchell Watkins, age 54, was born on December 19, 1970. David left this world and joined his friend Jesus in their Heavenly home on March 31, 2025.

David had many passions, including a deep appreciation for literature, but one of his greatest was his love of animals. He and Frankie loved many throughout their earthly union. He will be remembered for his brilliant mind, quick wit, bear hugs, and poker face.

David knew he was loved, but he struggled to know his value. The contribution he made to the lives of those who loved him was priceless. We hope our beloved David’s legacy is a testimony to all those remaining on this earth, seek and find Jesus, and your worth. If you are struggling to do that, reach out to your local church, or a professional therapist. You are loved, and incredibly valuable.

David’s family wishes to extend our heartfelt appreciation for your presence, prayers, and kind words during this time of sorrow. Your support has been a great comfort to us. We would also like to say a special thank you to the staff at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Their expertise was expected, their compassion and kindness were a beautiful and welcomed joy.

The home he knew on this earth was with his Pretty, Frankie. While she and others grieve his loss, they prepare for an envious celebration of his passing from this life to his joyous reward on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Please feel free to arrive at noon to visit. Family Worship Center will host our gathering at 3045 Memorial Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. This celebration is to be facilitated by Pastor Bryce Harper with a eulogy given by Pastor Michael Courtney. Anyone in attendance will be given the opportunity to share a tribute with those present.

David is survived by his wife, puppies, parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, Godchildren, and friends.

David was preceded in death by his baby girl, Franchesca Taylor. He is finally holding her today.

Flowers are appreciated, but please consider instead a donation in David’s name to Branches Counseling Center, The National Humane Society, or the Rutherford County Library System.

Please leave online condolences for the family at www.jenningsandayers.com Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home, 820 South Church Street, Murfreesboro, TN. 37130. 615-893-2422.
