Clifford Thomas Bowman, 68 of Smyrna, TN, passed away on September 6, 2024.
He was born on September 19, 1955 in Ottumwa, IA and went on to be a hardworking entrepreneur in the garage door industry for 53 years. He loved restoring classic cars and all things auto racing.
He is preceded in death by his parents Margaret, Delores, and Robert Bowman and his son, Shaun Parker, as well as brothers Bobby and Ray.
He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Carla Bowman, and children: Candie Bowman of Murfreesboro, TN; Jeremy (April) Parker of Rockvale, TN; Heather (Kage) Lancaster of Martinsville, IN; Melissa (Justin) Hutchings of Rockvale, TN; Katrina (Ryne) Cali of Jackson, TN and Troy Bowman of Murfreesboro, TN, as well as siblings Elaine, Bill, Carol and Jackie. He will also be missed by 25 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Jennings & Ayers. The graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Mannan Cemetery in Quincy, Indiana with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers include Troy Bowman, Jeremy Parker, Brennan Poole, Brian Adams, John Bianchi, Gary McDaniel, and Sanford Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in memory of Cliff.
