Oaklands Mansion, along with presenting sponsor First Bank, will host its fifth-annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 28th from 5:00 to 9:00pm. This unique event supports Oaklands Mansion and features many local craft brewers such as Calfkiller Brewing Company, Cedar Glade Brews, Dark Humor Brewery, Emerald Abbey Brewing, Life is Brewing, Mid-State Brew Crew, Mid-State Brewsters, Mos Alesley Brewing, Panther Creek Brews, Red Silo, Rubidium Brewing Co., Smackdab Brewing, Spring Street Brew Garage and Vitruvian Artisan Ales. In addition to this impressive list of craft brewers, we also welcome the number one independently owned cider producer in the nation, Bold Rock. They are bringing their multi award-winning IPAs.
The Knott Brothers band will take the stage on the front porch of the mansion at 6:00. Sample German fare from FitzWillys, grab a gourmet hotdog from That’s My Dawg, comfort food from Something Southern, a sweet treat from Baker’s Dozen Cookie Cabin or go south of the border with Catarina’s. If you want to learn more about the science behind the beer, the Middle Tennessee State University’s Fermentation Science Program will be here to represent their exciting new program and the art of craft beer.
