From Masai Giraffes and Caribbean flamingos to clouded leopards and red pandas, Nashville Zoo is home to more than 2,100 animals from all over the world. Over three-quarters of a million visitors come to Nashville Zoo annually, making it the number one attraction in Middle Tennessee.
The Zoo recently announced two new additions – a rhinoceros and three tigers.
A 4-year-old male white rhinoceros arrived in early December from a conservation facility in Florida. After a mandatory quarantine, he will be slowly introduced to the Zoo’s rhinoceros habitat and, eventually, the Zoo’s four female rhinos.
A new Sumatran tiger exhibit is nearing completion and is scheduled to open March 8. Recently on a Facebook Live, the zoo introduced the three female tigers named Ace, Francis, and Huntley who are sisters that arrived in Nashville at the end of April. They explained the best time to see the tigers active is the first thing in the morning. Watch the complete video below.
The Nashville Zoo is located at 3777 Nolensville Pike, Nashville. The zoo is open seven days a week with hours of 9 a – 4 p.
Currently, Zoo members will get 50% off admission at Adventure Science Center and Adventure Science Center members will get 50% off admission at Nashville Zoo through Jan. 31.
