NashBoro Chic Moves to Larger Space

Five months ago, Adrienne Tarola started NashBoro Chic in a room located on the second floor of Tarola Plastic Surgery, but the business has grown so fast that the store recently moved across Memorial from their old space. They are now located at 1313 Memorial Boulevard.

“I started the business because I love to shop and couldn’t find things that I love,” said Tarola. “I like clothing that is unique, and accessories that are artist-made. I started small and it just blew up.”

Besides carrying clothing you are not going to find everywhere, Tarola feels it is important to have pieces that work across generations, and body types. She makes sure that her choices work for multi-generations by taking her employee, Gayle Bowers, who is in her sixties, to market with her to sign off on her decisions.

“It is not just the pieces,” says Tarola, “it is about how you put an outfit together that makes it appropriate for different ages.”

Hot sellers have been “what’s different” – anything with sparkle, bright colors, and leopard print. Opening day of the new store the entire stock of leopard print joggers with a white stripe sold out entirely in two hours.

“Women like it that I don’t reorder things,” said Tarola. “I buy four to six of each item, and when a style is gone, it is gone. Except Airflow shirts and Renuar cigarette pants. They are the best pant ever!”

One of the coolest items they carry is custom made jean jackets. Tarola works with the vendor, Two Tequila Sisters, to turn your idea into a one-of-a-kind piece.

“Dana Cox, who runs Dream Catchers, had a vision for a jacket with her logo, a horse and children’s hand prints,” added Tarola. They can also do custom MTSU jackets, or Titans, or one for your business.”

Artisan jewelry and handbags are offered in the store to compliment any outfit. Stand out jewelry from Allie Bead and Shelia Fajl make a definite statement. Alllie Bead makes beaded jewelry with fun designs like lips and pink snakes, while Fajl is known for brushed metal hoops of many sizes.

Consuela Bags makes handbags, book bags, totes, duffle bags, crossover bags, and carry-ons. They are fun and functional – like the waterproof travel case. And NashBoro Chic is the only place you can get one in the area.

They also carry clothing for girls from age 7 to 14 curated by her daughter, and gifts, like handmade organic soaps made by the Soap Lady in Victoria, Texas.

The store’s space is topped off with copper and glass display fixtures that were hand-made by her husband and sons.

Looking for a green fur jacket? They have it. Want a necklace made from crystals and vintage belts? They have it. Need an all-over embroidered mini-skirt? They have it. If you love clothing, accessories, and gifts that can’t be found anywhere else, this is the place to be.
