Murfreesboro Police Investigate Possible Bias Based Crime

The Murfreesboro Police Department is investigating a potentially biased-based crime involving a Murfreesboro resident. The victim reported that someone placed several pieces of bologna and a used condom on his vehicle during the overnight hours of July 16/July17, 2017. The bologna caused damage to the paint of the victim’s vehicle in excess of $1,000. The complainant stated the vandalism is likely anti-Islamic because he practices Islam and his wife wears a head dress. The victim stated that he has not experienced any other issues in the time he has lived at the Veterans Pkwy. apartment.

The case has been assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been notified.
