Murfreesboro Police Chief James “Karl” Durr submitted his resignation Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017. The resignation was accepted by City Manager Rob Lyons. The letter of resignation is attached.
Deputy Chief Michael Bowen is empowered to oversee operation of the department as Acting Chief following Durr’s resignation. Durr began his role as Chief of Police in April 2016.
