The Exchange Club of Murfreesboro had as their June 14th program Alissa Shear, Assistant Director, CASA of Rutherford County.

Alisa explained the process of training and serving as a CASA volunteer. The organization that advocates for abused or neglected children. Too many children in the child welfare system lose their families, their rights and their hopes.

CASA ( Court Appointed Special Advocates ) is seeking volunteers. Today 60% of the children in the system have no access to a CASA Volunteer. That is almost 400,000 children nationwide without the hope a CASA volunteer can bring. Contact www.casaofrutherfordcounty.org for more information, and on Facebook.
