Second Quarter

Defense stops driving Tech and only gives up FG at 10:31 . Score 10-7 Tech. 18 plays, 73 yards, 6:21.

Tech puts together another long drive but stalls . Leads to a 49 yard FG . 13-7  Tech at 3:00 mark. 12 plays 51 yards 4:41. Defense needs offense to sustain a drive so they can get a breather.

MTSU can’t sustain a drive. Try a 4th down pass and it’s right where it needs to be….and dropped. 3 dropped balls that drive leads to a turnover on downs at 1:13 . La. Tech takes over at it’s own 40.

Tech plays pitch and catch for 61 yards. TD at :20 left in half. Drive took :53 and only took 6 plays.

Halftime 20-7 Bulldogs lead Blue Raiders.

First Quarter

On Blackout Night here at Floyd Field and so far it has been one fluke play and a battle of defensive wills. Tech came out on it’s first possession and on third down and a bad snap, the Bulldogs were able to go 70 yards for the first score of the game around the 12:00 mark.

10 year old cancer patient Colton Sheets came out before the game as Honorary Captain and was given a huge round of applause.(pictured)

The Bulldogs were driving , and got down to a first and goal when the Blue Raiders D stepped up and recovered a fumble at the 6:26 mark.

So far Mathers has been all of the Blue Raiders offense.

James grabs a 36 yard pass from Stockstill a 2:42 mark to get things going in positive direction for Blue Raiders

1:34 Mathers 38 yard run ties it up 7-7. 5 plays 85 yard in 1:51.
