True Blue Homecoming 2016 Spoiled
The Blue Raiders renewed their rivalry with the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky on Friday on what was homecoming at MTSU. The Blue Raiders entered the game with a record of 4-1 while the Toppers came in with a record of 3-3. When rivals get together they say you can throw records out the window, “100 Miles of Hate” is no exception to that rule. Quarter after quarter both teams refused to be outdone by the other, going into the half tied as well as the end of regulation, knotted 30 to 30. It would take double over-time and a blocked PAT by the Toppers to put their rival away 44 to 43 in what was an instant classic in this series.
