MTSU offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner is the new offensive coordinator for Arkansas State coach Blake Anderson, according to a source.

Faulkner has been the offensive coordinator at MTSU for the past four seasons and has also coached the Blue Raiders’ quarterbacks for the past five seasons. Middle Tennessee ranked in the top 35 in the country this season in both scoring offense (34.0 points per game) and total offense (457.4 yards per game). Its 442 total points scored and 5,946 yards of offense were both program records.

Under Faulkner’s instruction, redshirt freshman quarterback Brent Stockstill earned Conference USA Freshman of the Year honors and set program records for passing yards (4,005), completions (327) and touchdowns (30).

At Arkansas State, he joins up with Anderson, who has a 16–10 record in two seasons with the Red Wolves. The 46-year-old Anderson led Arkansas State to a 9–4 mark and a Sun Belt championship this season, as the Red Wolves went 8–0 in conference play.
