Middle Tennessee Christian’s Drew Berry had three touchdowns and Kemari McGowan scored two, as the Cougars rolled to a 44-13 win over Grace Baptist on Friday.
MTCS’s Berry had a third-quarter touchdown run to put the Eagles up, 32-6.
Jackson Green then hit Berry with a long touchdown strike for a 38-6 advantage.
McGowan added a third-quarter score to make the lead 38.
McGowan helped MTCS to an 8-6 lead in the first quarter after a touchdown run.
Berry’s touchdown run, followed by another 2-point conversion, put the Cougars up 16-6 in the first quarter.
MTCS will travel to face Tipton-Rosemark in next week’s TSSAA Division II Class A first-round playoff contest. The winner of that game draws 10-0 Friendship Christian.
