The Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) announced Friday Feb. 1, 2019, the promotion of four (4) officers to the rank of sergeant – Sergeant Chris Phillips, Sergeant Cameron Adam, Sergeant Bryant Mitchell and Sergeant Robert Palmer.

Sergeant Phillips started his career with MPD in 2010. He has served as a member of the COPS unit and as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division.

Sergeant Adam began working with MPD in 2008 and has served as a member of the Special Operations Unit and as a Field Training Officer.

Sergeant Mitchell’s career began with MPD in 2004. He has served as a member of the COPS unit and as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division.

Sergeant Palmer began his career with MPD in 2008. He has served as a member of the Honor Guard and as a Field Training Officer.

Murfreesboro Police Chief Michael Bowen said, “As our leadership in this organization develops, I’m fully confident we’re heading in the right direction and that we have the right people who can take this organization and move it to the next level.”
