Movie Trailer: ‘Dumplin’ Featuring New Music by Dolly Parton

We just saw the new trailer for ‘Dumplin’ and now we are counting down the days until December 7 when the Netflix original is released. The trailer which released just a couple of days ago has already been viewed over 1 million times.

The movie stars Jennifer Anniston and Danielle Macdonald, a young plus-sized girl who decides to follow in her mother’s footsteps and enter a beauty pageant. Our favorite part of the movie? It features new music by Dolly Parton.

Willowdean (Danielle Macdonald), who’s known as Will to her friends and Dumplin’ to her mother (Jennifer Aniston), a former beauty queen who now runs the local Miss Teen Blue Bonnet pageant, ignores comments about her weight and listens to Dolly Parton songs obsessively. But when she decides to enter her mother’s pageant in protest, her bold move encourages other contestants to follow in her footsteps, redefining the town’s traditions in the process.

Dolly will be releasing a soundtrack for the movie. Two songs have already been released- a duet with Sia titled “Here I Am” and “Girl in the Movies.”
