A 21-year-old woman reported missing Tuesday evening was found dead Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of McDonald’s on Murfreesboro Road in La Vergne.
Investigators said they were called to the scene after a restaurant employee reported an unconscious female inside a vehicle. Officers arrived and determined the woman, identified as Jocelynn Krauss, was deceased.
Krauss had been reported missing around 5 p.m. Tuesday after failing to return home from work.
La Vergne detectives and crime scene investigators, as well as the Rutherford County medical examiner were on hand to begin the investigation.
