A missing kayaker was recovered from Percy Priest Lake in La Vergne on February 21, 2023, according to WKRN.
Authorities responded at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday after witnesses reported seeing the kayaker’s boat overturn in the lake.
An off-duty La Vergne firefighter was in the Hurricane Creek Boat Ramp area at the time and attempted to rescue the man, but was unsuccessful.
Officials have identified the victim as Alexander Jimenez.
No additional details have been released at this time.
