Murfreesboro Fire Rescue’s District 8, Ladder 6, and Engine 4 responded to a mobile home fire at 1706 North Tennessee Boulevard (Cedar Park) around 12:15 Wednesdaymorning.

According to Captain/Shift Training Officer Tracy Summar, when crews arrived the unit on Lot 105 had heavy smoke showing.

Crews quickly worked to extinguish the fire. However, fire, smoke, and water damage have displaced the two adults and two children living in the unit, and it will likely be a total loss.

The American Red Cross is en route to assist the displaced family. The Fire Marshal’s Office is on scene to begin a preliminary routine investigation. The cause and origin of the fire is undetermined at this time. Investigators will be back out in the morning.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
