UPDATE 9/3/20 9:02AM: The situation has ended. The man has peacefully surrendered.
A male subject is threatening suicide and is hold up inside a room at the Knights Inn on S. Church St. in Murfreesboro. He tried to provoke officers at one point.
Special Operations Unit is on the scene hoping to convince him to come out.
Motel guests have been asked to shelter in place.
