Murfreesboro Police Officers were dispatched to a home in the 1000 block of Crystal Bear Trail at approximately 11:31 p.m., March 7, to a report of a possible domestic shooting and stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims with injuries. Chelley C. Olson, 45, of Murfreesboro, was suffering from a stab wound and Cory M. Thompson, 49, of Murfreesboro, had been shot.
Thompson’s treatment was started on scene by Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department and
continued during transported by Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services (RCEMS) to the helipad at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital (STRH). He was then transported by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he remains in critical condition. Olson was also treated on the scene by RCEMS and transported to STRH Emergency room where she was treated and later released.
The investigation is still on-going.
