Country music legend Loretta Lynn will celebrate her 87th birthday with a big birthday concert at Bridgestone Arena on April 1st.

A star-studded list of entertainment has been announced to celebrate the iconic female country music artist.

The entertainment lineup includes Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Miranda Lambert, Jack White, Margo Price, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Trisha Yearwood, Brandy Clark, and many more.

During a press conference at the Grand Ole Opry, Garth Brooks came out to surprise Loretta Lynn.

Brooks said, “You have always been in my corner. You have always fought for me. You’ve been busy doing that; it’s pretty much our story,” Brooks said to Lynn as he stood next to her during the press conference. “I love you to pieces.”

A large birthday cake was presented to Lynn who told the audience she was feeling great. Lynn suffered from a stroke in 2017, then in 2018 broke her hip.

When asked if she would be singing any duets during the event, Lynn says she was there to listen. Lynn is one of the most awarded musicians of all time. She has been inducted into more music Halls of Fame than any female recording artist, including The Country Music Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and was the first woman to be named the Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year in 1972. Lynn received Kennedy Center Honors in 2003 and a Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013. In 2015, she was named recipient ofBillboard’s inaugural Women in Music “Legend” Award. Lynn has won four GRAMMY Awards (including a GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010) and sold more than 45 million records worldwide. Lynn also became a member of the Grand Ole Opry back in 1962.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Opry Trust Fund and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Tickets go sale Friday, January 18 at Ticketmaster.com.
