Christiana Middle School is under what is known as a Code Yellow lockdown, which is a precautionary lockdown while the situation (a bomb note found in a bathroom) is being investigated to determine its credibility.
The note prompted an immediate investigation by a team of School Resource Officers and Sheriff’s deputies.
The Sheriff’s Office is overseeing the investigation as a matter of standard protocol.
Under a Code Yellow, the students remain in their classroom and no visitors are allowed inside the building. These situations usually prove to be inappropriate pranks, but we take them seriously and investigate them thoroughly. We will have an update as the investigation progresses.
