Before Saturday roles around most everything around the square will be closed.

City officials have informed business owners to lock up anything of value inside their stores; especially anything that could be flammable. Many businesses have reported they will board-up their store fronts to assure no damage is done.

But police are not only warning local businesses of the danger, they want citizens to know as well. Fire trucks will be blocking entrances to the downtown area on Saturday to keep as many people out as possible while officers will be on foot and roof tops.

Though many stores will be closing on Saturday several in Murfreesboro not on the square will go about business as usual. But the protest on the square is still reaching the ones who will be open. Like Freebirds World Burrito on 2222 Medical Center Parkway. Late last week they posted on their Facebook page stating that they will be open, but reserve the right to refuse service to anyone associated with a hate group. Chick-Fil-A will be serving police officers, firefighters/rescue squad, first responders and any other government agency evolved in keeping the protest peaceful.
