Drivers in La Vergne are being advised to avoid Lake Road this morning as crews work to clear storm-related debris.
City officials say Lake Road is closed from The Ridge subdivision to the county line while workers remove downed trees. The closure was reported around 9:30 a.m., and the roadway is expected to reopen within the next few hours.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and use caution in the area as cleanup continues.
