La Vergne’s 2017 Old Timers Festival

The city of La Vergne is excited to announce the 2017 Old Timers Festival, to be held on Saturday September 9 at Veterans Memorial Park. This years theme is “Our Roots Run Deep”, celebrating the city’s 45th anniversary! Mrs. Shirley Winfree, La Vergne’s first female Mayor, will serve as the Grand Marshal at the parade.

The line-up for the parade will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9 at La Vergne City Hall – the parade will end at Veterans Memorial Park, where we will kick off the day long festival!

Families will have the opportunity to enjoy carnival rides and games from Wednesday, September 6 through Saturday, September 9. Craft and food vendors will be available. On Saturday, live entertainment will start at 11:30 a.m. Acts featured this year are: Mike Oldham, Wild Blue Younder, and the NHECM Wildlife Education Program.
Join us as we celebrate La Vergne’s roots and 45 years as a city!
