Chief Moews led a Field Force Platoon of 40 law enforcement officers, responding to protests in and around the Red Arrow Park area of downtown Milwaukee as well as assisting with security on the perimeter of the security hard zone. The other members of LPD assisted with internal venue security and some escorts of dignitaries.

“This was an honor for LPD to be part of the security presence at the RNC,” says Chief Christopher Moews. “I am proud of their willingness to serve their country and to represent the City of La Vergne with honor and distinction. I hope we are able to accept more opportunities like this in the future.”

LPD was invited by the Milwaukee Police Department to participate in this event. All costs will be covered by the City of Milwaukee through the federal funding provided for this national security event.
