La Vergne Police Department Gears Up for National Night Out

This event is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. LPD would like to invite the citizens of La Vergne to come out on August 1 and enjoy an evening of fellowship. National Night Out isn’t all business and no play. There will be family-friendly activities as well learning opportunities.

Parents can come socialize while the kids enjoy an inflatable slide and meet the Crash test Dummies. The Rutherford County Mounted Patrol will be on site and K-9 officers will be available for pictures and belly rubs! Other great city organizations like LPD SWAT, Life Flight, Box 100, and Rutherford County EMS will all be in attendance. Food and cold drinks will be available! This free event will be held at the front of Veterans Memorial Park on August 1 at 5:00 pm. We would like to encourage residents to come out for a night of family fun and community bonding.
